I've had no problem installing the TN450 in my HL-2240 printer. The installation instructions say to have the printer ON when installing the toner unit and, after closing the front cover, wait for the "Ready" LED to come on before doing anything else. I hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Sometimes you have to shake the cartridge gently from side to side and slide the green tab back and forth several times.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just keep using toner until printing begins to fade.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Consult the owner's manual. You have to turn the copier on and leave it on for something like 20 minutes before replacing the toner cartridge. It's stupid, but that is what the owner's manual says to do.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Perhaps the message on your copier has cleared by now. First I check the manual; then re-install the cartridge. If message continues, what works for me is to press cancel and then OK.
