Minimally. After it leaves the filter it runs over the cover of the garaffe.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the basket that holds the filter is plastic.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The filter basket is made of plastic so the coffee comes in contact with plastic. There hasnt been any plastic taste at all.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes - it passes through the filter and then through the plastic cup the filter is in before dripping into the pot.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. But I’m not sure I can see where the water goes through
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. The ‘entire’ coffee machine is plastic. The basket used to hold the ground coffee and filter is plastic.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Of course! The whole coffee maker, except the glass coffee pot itself, is plastic. I don't know of any metal, wooden or glass ones with these kinds of features on them, do you? My car is plastic. My credit card is plastic. My glasses are a type of plastic. I am 95% sure the water you drink comes through plastic pipes in every house built in the last 30 diyears. If you have copper water pipes you are drinking lead because the soldier that was used to connect the copper pipes was lead based. So don't worry about a few cups of coffee. You are drinking water from your spigot that came through plastic pipes already. You faucet is now mostly plastic. They don't use copper in them anymore. Too expensive. Just giving you the context of your question. Unless you use a wooden bucket at a well, you are not doing much to change your environment by drinking from a drip coffee maker. But you can buy a glass carafe designed with a neck to put a filter in and pour hot water over the grounds and have just all glass made coffee that way. Or you can use a French Press which is much the same as the carafe method. You can buy coffee in one serving bags and pour hot water over them in your cup or a tea pot just like making tea. Those are my thoughts on plastic in a plastic world. And "YES!" to rate of cancer is up as far as I know and it could have a correlation with all the plastic we are using to set on, in and over. Put up to our ear. Squirt stuff in plastic containers up our nose and take pills from plastic pill "boxes".
