Includes two extra bottles of black. Scanner scans at max 600x1200dpi and can save as both jpg and pdf.

They are straight up giving you 2 Extra Bottles of black toner.

It comes with 3 color tanks (yellow, cyan, magenta) and 3 black tanks. You install 1 black tank along with the colors initially, and the other 2 blacks are when the 1st black runs out. I was a little intimidated about the process of pouring the ink from the tanks into the cartridges, but it's really pretty easy.
I don't know the resolution of the scanner. The paperwork that comes with this device is pretty limited information wise.

You can save as JPEG as well as PDF.

I found installing Canon Inkjet SmartConnect was the best/easiest way to scan for me. You have this option when you initially set up the printer and install software.

The other two are extra black ink. You save documents as jpegs.
