I cant seem to add this printer to my mac! please help null

I had no issues adding this to my phone, Mac, or MacBook. 
I followed the directions enclosed in the box. I followed the ‘connecting to a smartphone’ for all 3 since I wanted to be able to print wirelessly. 

I added a pic of those of you still need them

"Internet Connection required during software installation. For full compatibility macOS v10.12.1 or later is recommended."

if you go to the Canon website there is a walk through for adding to the Mac Once done you shouldn't have any problems
