“I have read that this turns off after awhile and you cant print wirelessly until you physically turn it back on, is this true, if so can this feature be turned off so you print anytime from anywhere?”

Yes the economy mode can be turned off in the printer setup menu. You can find the instructions how to shut off this feature in the printers user manual.
