No, the scanner is wide enough for a text book, but not quite wide enough for a 12" wide sheet of paper.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No!. Will only scan as big as the scan screen. I too was disappointed that it would not scan a 12x12. Scanning in two parts and then pasting together is time consuming and tedious. We are looking for a 12x12 scanner as I have family albums that I want to reproduce for our children. That size of scanner is way too expensive as is a copier that will do a 12x12. I am so disappointed. Also Cannon said that I could buy 12x12 paper at Walmart,Target, etc. No luck not even online. I ended up buying 13x17 photo copy paper on line. We are attempting to photograph our pages. The color is pretty good, but not like the original. Maybe look online for a copy place that will do your pages if you trust the mail. Printer will print a 12x12 piece of paper with its prints that come with the machine and a 12x12 piece of paper.i
