- Answer No, this is a RF Lens for Mirrorless Camera’s only. I personally am using it on the Canon R. I also have the Canon 90D for wildlife photography which is a fantastic camera. The Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS II USM Lens will work great with the Canon 90D. However, it will not be back in stock until sometime in August.

- Answer The RP camera uses the RF mount and so does this lens. So yes, the lens is compatible with that camera. BestBuy has an error in the name of the lens, the correction is: RF 100-400mm f/5.6-8 IS USM f/I makes no sense (please, no jokes that f/U would make sense). f/5.6-8 means the maximum aperture changes from f/5.6 at 100mm focal length to f/8 somewhere before or at 400mm focal length and of course it likely makes steps along the way. It would be nice if lens manufacturers would specify where the max. aperture steps occur along the zoom range. The proper solution costs you more money: a constant maximum aperture.

QuestionIs it normal for the lens to rattle when slightly shaken? When looking through the front of the lens, it appears that the internals are somewhat loose. Is this normal if the lens is in the least zoomed position, e.g. 100mm?

- Answer I have not noticed mine doing that but it could be the optical image stabilization system. Turn that off and see if it persists.

- Answer Yep. The R7 has a crop sensor so it will be more zoomed in than a full frame but will still work great. Some prefer the added zoom, especially for wildlife photography.

- Answer With the purchase of an EF to RF adapter, yes it will work. Not without. Im pretty sure there is an EF equivalent 100-400mm lense.
