• It depends on how you configure the app. This is an add on device to a myQ system. If you have a myQ added to your garage door, you can have the app notify you every time the door is opened or closed. If you had it notify you every time it opens or closes, then yes, you'd know if someone opened your garage door. Otherwise, this isn't what you're looking for if you want security like that.
