Supposedly not. Manual claims its not detectable.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does have what is called VG-2 Spectre. You have to turn the setting on, when it detects that the radar is being detected, it will completely shut itself off.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It depends on what radar detector detector they have . I know some have gone to the V3 and there may be a V4 now. Go to a radar detector detector site and you can get the info on the latest there. It's always a catch up game the richer a city or state is the more likely they will have the latest gear. Most will still have the V! & 2 that this one handles. I would suspect VA and DC would most likely have the latest, I'd google it and you may find out.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. It's not what the radar is doing, it's that it generally has to be mounted visually. As a former officer, I know the fines came because I could see the unit, and radar detectors were illegal. So, based on what you learn of the laws regarding radar detectors in those states, that should determine if you get one like this or perhaps go the route I went and had a k40 system installed and it is completely invisible. Hope this helped.
