Depends on what terrain is in your vicinity and the current climate. If it is open for miles, then mine detects about 0.75 of a mile.

at least a quarter to half mile. Sometimes it won’t alert and you pass by a cop but cops have to be running radar if they aren’t it doesn’t detect. Here’s a tip if the cop seems to not be very hidden at all he’s probably not running radar he’s looking for infractions.

Not sure the actual range but it is very far. Most of the time I don't even see the cop after it has been sounding off for a little while.
