This question was sent to me regarding the remote start system with the LTE module. If that is the product you're asking about, I'm not sure why, if you've already bought it, you chose this one instead of the standard remote start without the LTE module. I don't know if there's a third-party app, but since the system is proprietary, and based on digital cellular, I can only imagine that function would be similar to hacking a digital cell phone. I subscribe to the 5-year basic plan (less than $5 a month) because I also don't want or need all the additional features. I find as I go along I use the cell-based remote start and lock features more and more (becoming a habit now) because it works from inside buildings better and the notification on my phone is absolute. I plan on keeping my vehicle at least that long so I'm not concerned about the length of commitment. Plus I feel I've "locked-in" the price for 5 years which, in these times, is a relief! If you choose to disregard the cell-based feature you can buy additional remote(s).
