Q: QuestionI see that this is a remote starter and as such it works great but my questions are: Can this remote turn off or block the engine in case I get carjacked? Can I turn off the engine if someone else takes my car and drives away?

• A:Answer You cannot turn off the engine via the app, no matter which subscription you purchase. You can panic the horn (if connected) from the app, and panic a siren if you purchase the security upgrade and have it installed. Additionally, if you pay for the premium plan, you can track your vehicle and get travel direction and speed information.

• A:Answer Yes. I have it on my powerstroke and it does well. One suggestion is to make sure you plug in the block on extra cold nights. The reason is the way it works for the plugs is based on a timed delay. It will wait like 10 seconds after simulating ignition on and therefore heating up the plugs. Then it will start whether its ready or not on the dash or temp of the plugs. So sometimes it will not successfully start on first try and then it will wait another 10 secs and try again. On mine if it does this and starts the second time it blows a lot of smoke due to the excess fuel thats being pumped in and not burned on the unsuccessful start.

• A:Answer It’s very easy. If you don’t have remote start, you buy this kit, it has the module (brain), T-harness (for your make and model), and Drone. This system uses your factory security system. If you want to upgrade your factory security (or don’t have one) you can add the security upgrade which is around $100. I added the security upgrade at time of install as they have them on hand at most Best Buy’s. There is an LCD 2-way upgrade also, but doesn’t make sense. This drone kit gives you a 2-way remote (which I don’t use) as I now have my factory key programmed to start with pushing lock 3x or I use the app to lock/unlock/start. Sorry long answer. Buy this kit, buy the security upgrade once you take to install bay at Best Buy. I have already done two of these and doing my third next week.
