Can this run on battery only? null

Hi Mike, thank you for your question about our Sensi Smart Thermostat. The batteries are meant as a backup if your thermostat cannot get power from your system. If the thermostat is running on batteries only, you will lose the WiFi capabilities. You will still be able to use the thermostat manually.
