No, the standard Sensi smart thermostat (ST55U) does not work with only a two-wire setup because it requires a common wire (C-wire) for continuous power. However, Sensi Lite (ST55) may be compatible with some two-wire systems without a C-wire. To get the standard Sensi working, you must either add a C-wire or use an adapter kit.
