Yes, you can use this unit with the 3.5 mm audio port on an iPad.

It would technically be since it has the aux input 3.5mm connector.

I tested them on my IPad Air 2. Music, Netflix, YouTube, games, they all worked. If a device has a 3.5 mm headphone jack, then you should be all set. The compatibility for a wide range of devices is part of the reason I purchased the HS60.
