Yes for some reason people don't talk about it and on the box it says you will have the function on PC only but it does work right out the box. I use it for destiny 2 and I can hear steps from behind me and also when people active there super across the map

The surround sound is only compatible with PC

Same as on the HS50: No 3.5mm headset would have even simulated surround, unfortunately. The headset would work out of the box with the Xbox but you'd be limited to stereo sound. If you have any other questions please reach out: support.corsair.com
