Yes they are stainless steel and do not have any harmful coatings that may be toxic

Stainless steel would not be toxic. The lids are glass and set on a stainless steel base. Only one skilled has a teflon type coating. As long as it has not been overheated and scratched excessively, I would not hesitate using the pan. The instructions say to not overheat the pans as the stainless steel conducts heat efficiently and it would only cause damage to the pans.
