A:AnswerThe number 18/10 reflects the composition of the stainless steel not the weight or thickness. 18/10 stainless is generally the highest grade for consumer products. The bottom of the pots/pans are very thick and composed of an aluminum core with stainless on both sides making them quite thick on the bottom but the sides are thinner than some of my other more expensive Cuisinart pots.
A:AnswerI got four utensils instead of the two smaller pots with cover.if I had received the set that I ordered I would be able to give a review.
I didn’t take it back to the store because I was leaving for vacation and just didn’t return it when I got home.
A:AnswerAny pan will warp if heated too high for prolonged periods and then cooled in water quickly. NEVER do this. Allow the pan to cool before washing. That is the quickest way to warp a pan. The directions with this set say that the pans should not be heated to a high heat for prolonged periods as the stainless steel conducts heat quickly My opinion would be that this set could be used on any cooking stove as long as the heat was moderate in accordance with the instructions that come with the set. (Nice set.)
A:AnswerYou will always need to lubricate before cooking with stainless steel. Great for searing. The advantage of stainless steel is no chance of a coating chipping of and getting in your food and ultimately your body.
