• It does have on/off, but I think the power stays on. I can't say for certain because I'm one of those people who unplugs all small kitchen appliances after use for safety reasons. What I can say for certain is, I love my grill/griddle. I use it all the time. Heat coming through both top and bottom allows meat to cook evenly, leaving it tender and juicy. Of course, this appliance makes a perfect grilled cheese as well.
