Questions & Answers (29)
  • Q: can you grill frozen hamburger patty and at what temp. (2 answers)

A: Yes and they will be done in 5 minutes. I use this for a lot of frozen and fresh meats. Just season it and cook it. You may want to spay a little Pam on it if you are cooking boneless chicken breast. I put mine on 325 and then use medium and I close the top to cook.
  • Q: How good does it cook chicken? (4 answers)

A: I use my griddle/grill to cook chicken breasts for Fajitas, Chicken Alfredo Pasta, or fresh chicken to go in my Caesar salad. I rinse my chicken off first and then cook them whole for 7 to 10 minutes depending on the thickness. When finished, I let the breasts cool for a moment before slicing. By the time I’m done eating, the griddle plates are cool enough to wash before residue dries and therefore making it easy to wash and dry and don’t forget to check the juice drip pan on the bottom also.
  • Q: How easy is it to clean (5 answers)

A: It's super easy to clean as the "plates" are detachable .
  • Q: What is the highest temperature it will generate? (4 answers)

A: 425 Griddle and Grill has low med high and sear
  • Q: When I made cheese sandwiches it smashed the bread and the cheese ran out what did I do wrong? (1 answers)

A: Hi Anonymous. I experienced the same problem the first time I tried to make grilled cheese while suing the Griddler in its "press" set up. Regular sandwich bread is not sturdy enough to hold up to the weight of the top half of the Griddler. If you want to make a panini type sandwich, Betty Crocker recommends a crustier bread like focaccia, ciabatta or a whole grain baguette. If you are making a simple grilled cheese sandwich, use the latch on the hinge to lay the Griddler flat. In that configuration I can have eight grilled cheese sandwiches cooking at the same time for my family. Fair warning, though; the sandwiches cooking on the bottom half will cook faster than those on the lid half. Good luck!
  • Q: Does it come with waffle plate (5 answers)

A: No, but you can order them.
  • Q: What is the wattage on this unit? (2 answers)

A: I've not measured it for real world energy consumption but they UL listing is 1500 watts rated at 120V.
  • Q: can you use the grill without using cooking spray or oil ? (7 answers)

A: You don’t have too, it come with a small spatula in case you have to remove the scrap. I have never had a problem. It cook very nice.
