• The UPS does not come with a Serial cable but looking at the manual yes it does look like you can control this through the serial port

• Hello, The GX1500U does not come with a serial cable. That serial port is typically used for dry contact connections and communication. The USB cable will need to be utilized for use with software. Good questions!
