UPS is working fine so far
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.I got this to protect my computer setup from power surges. The last one I had before I got this had fried one of my SSDs. I have not had a power surge since I installed it, so I haven't been able to test how it holds up in a real event yet. The self-test says it is working so I assume it works. It all works great so far, but one thing I don't like is that the outlets are close together. I have a few cords with an AC power adapter which overlaps multiple outlets. I would have liked them to be spaced apart more, or maybe allow the outlets to be rotated to the side of the UPS. There is only 1 on each side that is spaced farther away for these, and the one on the power supply side is close to the ethernet surge protection. The product did arrive with the box damaged, attached photos, but the product itself did not appear damaged. I would have liked to been able to purchase it in store or pick up at the store, but I was only able to ship to my house. The product does have desktop software that logs events, shows the status, energy usage, etc. There is also an app, but I have not downloaded it because it is only a free trial.

Its like magic
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This power backup is awesome. When my power went out, my computer stayed on, it was great, i could finish what i was doing, before the power ran out. Plugging in your cable modem to the backup keeps the internet working also. (Unless the cable goes out too)

Great backup power system
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Love the device and the software, I get email alerts if there are any outages and the windows software is easy to use. Running my desktop server off it and estimated time off battery is around 24 minutes.

Sea to do the job.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.Seems good so far.Shows power draw some decent features. The warrenty of 500k protection seems fishy at best a lot of red tape per the instructions but I bought it for brown out situations. Don't want to risk my 3090 getting damaged in this gpu drought. Haven't had any outages yet but it feels quality and it replaced my old apc unit that wasn't cutting the mustard and battery died. Time will tell but I like the unit so far.

Q: QuestionWhats the difference between this model and the CP1500PFCLCD? I've seen glowing reviews for the Cyberpower CP1500PFCLCD but literally nothing for the model shown here.
Asked by Bearman.
- A:Answer After a ton of research on the Cyber Power website and side by side comparison, here are the answers to your question: CP1500PFCLCD has the option of remote/auto shut down of your devices by buying and installing the RMCARD205 hardware to the UPS. This allows you to control or set up for auto shutdown of your devices. Go take a look at the pictures of the back of both UPS devices. The specs also state that the CP1500PFCLCD has SNMP communication but the GX1500u does not. Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) is an Internet Standard protocol for collecting and organizing information about managed devices on IP networks and for modifying that information to change device behavior. The CP1500PFCLCD as a clear obvious spot to install the RMCARD205, whereas the GX1500u does not. The product descriptions on Cyber Powers website clearly state that BTOH are PFC Pure Sine. I know it gets confusing when you actually search for True Sine UPS PFC and only the CP and OR models show up. However, as I do side by side-word for word comparison of the models, they both clearly state that they are AVR PFC True Sine UPS's. You are paying extra for remote access/auto controls. Also, the GX1500u only uses 1 type of model for battery replacement, whereas, the CP1500PFCLCD has 2 options for different model numbers. Again, they are both True Sine PFC AVR UPS's.

Q: QuestionI have a home backup generator. Will I have any voltage issue if it runs at possibly 63 cycles as opposed to the standard 60 cycles?
Asked by Bucko.
- A:Answer Hello Bucko, We generally will not recommend these units with a generator unless it is an inverter generator because our units will detect fluctuating cycles as bad power. If the 63 cycles were a solid, constant 63 cycles, there would be no issue but most generators will output fluctuating frequencies. Thank you for submitting your question!

Q: QuestionIs it really true that using an extension cord or plug strip voids the warranty? If true, this is a show-stopper. What about all the little power supplies for modem, router, external hard drives, USB hubs, monitors, etc. physically won't reach the UPS?
Asked by JoeP.
- A:Answer Hello Joe, You would never want to daisy chain a surge strip into any other surge strip or UPS as it would become a fire hazard. Extension cords may be used if there is only one output and if the wire gauge is the same or larger wire gauge. For more detail, please reach out to our team at 877-297-6937. We'd love to be of assistance. Thank you for submitting your question!

Q: Questionif the power goes out long enough to drain the ups battery, when the power eventually turns back on, Will the ups restart or turn Back on?
Asked by Powa.
- A:Answer The UPS has an auto-restart feature but it is dependent on the state of the battery when line power is restored. In extended outages where the battery becomes depleted, the unit could fail the self test and would need to be manually powered on. Thank you for submitting your question!

Q: QuestionFrom the title I presume this battery system offers pure sinusoidal power delivery on and off battery? Thanks, Jeff
Asked by JPS.
- A:Answer Hello JPS, That is correct. The GX1500U provides pure sine wave power. Thank you for submitting your question!

Q: QuestionCan I attach a surge protector to either end of this UPS to further protect against surges?
Asked by T.
- A:Answer Not needed. This is not recommended by Mfg. for possible fire safety. This UPS has very high quality surge protection built in already.

Q: QuestionWe have a machine that can't lose power or its PC will lose its memory. It uses 218 watts of power at 120 volts. How long will this unit maintain power at that rate of usage.
Asked by Mitch.
- A:Answer Hello Mitch, The estimated run time for the GX1500U unit at 200 watts is 31 minutes. The estimated time at 300 Watts is 19 minutes. A good estimation would put the run time within that range of 20-30 minutes, depending on what the PC is doing at the time. Thank you for your question.

Q: QuestionAre the USB ports on the FRONT of the unit able to charge (for instance) Smartphones during a power failure? i.e. will the battery furnish power to the front USB ports during a power failure?
Asked by DalTxJim.
- A:Answer From the manual: Two USB charge ports (one Type-A and one Type-C) power portable devices such as mobile phones and tablets, even during a utility power failure
