Ask someone at best buy who works with the computer's, they're usually very knowledgeable about that sort of thing.

A:AnswerI am on my second rig. The first one did not give sound for me, either. I think it was a hardware issue with the Gigabyte motherboard. I have set up many out of the box computers, and built them too, but never had experienced that issue before, so I took it back ASAP. They agreed that it sounded like a bad board. I exchanged it and the second one had and Asus m5a97 R2.0 motherboard. I have the full surround sound I wanted, now (the Asus board also has an optical out). It took some work from the team at my store, but they found a replacement computer at a nearby store and arranged a swap for me... after the computer was not able to be ordered, so I lucked out. I hope you do, too! Worst case scenario would be to have CyberPowerPC exchange it for you. You should talk to their tech line. I am sure they can assist you.
