You can run any GPU you want in it. The case is big enough that just about anything should fit. You may need to upgrade the PSU too. I don't know what's in the machine now. That may not even be necessary I don't know. Normally stock PSUs aren't powerful enough to run the large graphics cards. However, AMD just released the RX 480 which is VR ready and runs faster than the R9 390X according to AMD and recommends only a 500 watt PSU. Tom's Hardware says that it tends to put quite a strain on the slot in the motherboard, but this PC has a Gigabyte motherboard, so I don't imagine you'll have any trouble running the latest technology. However the RX 480 exceeds the standards for voltage draw on PCI slots according to Tom's Hardware. They are a pretty reputable source for hardware info. There are no limitations on whether or not you can run AMD or NVidia graphics cards. You can run either. It doesn't have to be an AMD graphics card. There may be some tinkering to do with the setup though. I've never installed an NVidia card in an AMD machine, but from what I've read it isn't a problem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
