RAM is expandable with 16gb included and two open slots remaining. The unit comes with wiring for items included with no thought given to expansion. If you want to add additional HD's, Blu-Ray player, SSD, etc you will need to add the wiring yourself. The power supply is more than adequate to handle multiple additional drives. I have 4 HD's, an SSD and a blu-ray player.
