Do you have to have WiFi to run the system? null

NO YOU DONT NEED WIFI . ALL CONTROLS ARE ON THE MONITOR / RECORDER UNIT . THE CAMERAS SEND A WIRELESS RADIO SIGNAL TO THE MONITOR . THE MONITOR RECORDS ONTO AN SD CARD IF YOU CHOOSE TO DO THAT. THE CAMERAS AND MONITOR / RECORDER EACH HAVE ABOUT A 5-6 FT ELECTRICAL CORD THAT MUST BE PLUGGED IN SOMEWHERE.

No, you DO NOT need WiFi. All you do is pair the cameras with the monitor. They are wireless but must be plug into an electrical outlet.
