“Ten minutes after I turn off my receiver, there is a pop (but it's really more of a thump) that is very very loud. I've had the speakers for a few months, and I think it might be discharge from receiver? Other than that they are great.”

i believe its the built in amplifier shutting down. the d light on the bottom of the speaker on the front will be lit and watch it. if you hear the thump and the light goes out then that's what most likely it is.
