1 TB (terabyte) is the standard way to express storage capacity. 1 TB = 1,000 GB (in decimal terms used by manufacturers). Technically, in binary terms, 1 TB = 1,024 GB, but most consumer product listings round it to 1,000 GB for simplicity. So, both statements mean the same thing the laptop has 1 terabyte of storage.
