Is the keyboard backlit? null

Yes, this model has a backlit keyboard.

There are small blue lights that shine from under the keys. Similar to a phone or ipod, if left unused for 30 seconds or a minute, the lights will go dark, but when you type anything again, the lights come back on. They don't really illuminate the letters on the keys; they only show where the various keys are, so that you can feel you way to s, f, j, 5, etc. to place your fingers correctly, and then type from muscle memory what key corresponds to each letter.

It has a blue color back light. It can't be changed, or I haven't figured out how to yet.
