A basic machine but more than adequate to do no-graphics intensive home applications (email, internet, word processing, etc). I would not buy it for gaming or video editing but it may be okay for online video streaming. For your monitor, it has a VGA and a HDMI adapter. No printer port, however, so make sure your printer uses either USB or is wireless. There should be printer drivers available for the Win 7.
