This laptop is a Microsoft device running a full Windows 10 Home Edition. It is a full laptop, and is a convertible to a tablet configuration. An Ipad is a totally different device, running an IOS operating system. IOS cannot run applications that are not designed to run on IOS, and Microsoft laptops run Microsoft compatible applications.

Honestly 15 inches for a tablet isn't that useful except for art and other specific scenarios. The Ipad (pro) is good for note taking in classes and meetings, as well as generally easier to carry around, but it won't replace a laptop. Trust me I've tried. The laptop will be better to type on, and is much easier to move data / files around. Plus, no mouse on the Ipad. Not going to happen.
