If I were a college student I might prefer the mobility of a laptop for times you might need to take to library, or just have with you to add something or do homework away from home or the dorm. .Of course if mobility is not an issue than this is certainly a good computer for a student.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would say yes. This computer has all of the basics and includes a wireless keyboard and mouse. Connecting to the internet is seamless, though overall set up takes over an hour. For your basic needs, this works well. I would actually recommend for a college student over a grad student / professional.
