The term refurbished  typically refers to the hardware components of a computer that have been either replaced with similar components or updated with newer technology than with which the device was originally manufactured. 
The Geek Squad support coverage is covered by BestBuy and you would have to contact their sales team to see if this covers all units purchased from them. We offer a 1 year limited warranty for this unit.
