“I'm not seeing a port to connect an optical cable for an external sound bar. That's available on my current computer which is about 6-7 years old. Is that not available on computers anymore?”

Hello Bobby! You might need an Aux adapter cable. You can find the full port list on the product page under the specifications. But this does not have an optical output other than the aux jack.
