Yes, this is an excellent monitor for playing Fortnite.

Regardless of what you use (PC, Xbox, PS4), you want something that supports at least 1440p (QHD) because that is the start of HDR (better colors and shadows) support. Monitors are faster (better response) but you get more size/$ with TVs, and they include audio. Unless its the living room, get a monitor (no audio) and pick up a sound bar.
