• Yes. This is great for battery life. The compromise is that you can't add a second hard drive.

• The i7/16gb/4k has the 84 whr battery. The comment about the SSD drives; however, is incorrect - there are a couple XPS 15 9550 models with SSD drives that have the 54 whr battery. The mixture of features dictates the battery size - the higher end versions all have the 84 whr battery. If anybody needs to know about a different configuration - go to the Dell website to look at the different features of the various configurations.

• yes - but only if you get an ssd. If you opt for the sata 500gb traditional hard drive, you will get the smaller battery. only models with ssd's get the big 84whr battery
