“I am very confused about getting the filter and cup out. Also do you have to remove the tank as well Picture and directions are not clear.”

You need to remove the filter and the clear tank as one unit. There is a button directly beneath the clear tank...All you need to do is push the button up while pulling forward. Hope this helps

In order to remove the dirt cup from the machine please press in on the dirt cup release button towards the bottom of the dirt cup, then pull the dirt cup out towards you. Once removed you’ll see the filters at the top. Grasp the tab on the filter and pull to remove it from the dirt cup. Separate the filter from the filter screen and clean both filters over the trashcan. Once completed replaced both filters inside of the dirt cup, then place the dirt cup back into the unit.
