It does not hurt it but putting the mavic mini 1 Battery on the mini 2 would put the drone over 249 grams.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. From the DJI website. No. Mavic Mini will not function with the battery of DJI Mini 2. Although the international version of DJI Mini 2 can use Mavic Mini’s battery, the power will decrease and the total weight will exceed 250 g, requiring registration in some countries and regions. Please check local rules and regulations before use.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No it will not damage. But it will go over the 249g weight so you will have to register your drone with FAA. As their regulation you have to register any drone heavier than 250g.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Dear customers, Thanks for your inquiry. Please kindly thatThe international version of DJI Mini 2 can use Mavic Mini’s battery without damage. Best regards, DJI Support
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The mini 1 battery is a Lithium Ion batter, heavier and not as powerful as the mini 2 which uses a Lithium polymer battery which is a lot more powerful. So if you do use the mini 1 in the 2, it will work but it wont be as fast, it will be heavier and wont fly as long.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't know if they will damage the mini 2 but consider the amps to determine if it would. Also the batteries for the mini 2 are lighter and that's why the dron does not have to be registered. If you use the other batteries, they are heavier and they could raise the drone above the 249g threshold. In which case, there will be FAA penalty/fines.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It will not damage the Mini 2 in anyway. However, the Mini 1 battery is a LiIo battery and as such will not provide the same power to the motors (if needed) as the LiPo batteries of the Mini 2. LiIo batteries trickle power to the motors and the LiPo batteries will give a great blast of power when needed.
