It still charges the android phones while its connected. But to me thats a good thing. It'd be a disaster if the phone lost battery

That seems to be an issue with android OS. But the big difference is this remote control is much larger, with larger batteries, longer run time. I would say you could do 6-10 battery swaps in the drone before needing to recharge. Some Android devices will not work, you need 64 bit hardware & OS, check their website/Forum for compatability!

I think so, there's an option to turn off the remote charging....

You are able to toggle the charging of your mobile device in the settings page of the app, therefore preventing this issue. I am a new user and the mini 2 is my first drone, but that is what I have found with its use the past couple weeks.

It's actually a android problem and no but the new remote has a huge battery and I can fly for 4 hours without charging
