I have this same problem. I have a Samsung and I've switched everything to the magnetic cables. I haven't found a way around it. I've been looking for a cable that will work on both ends. I use them to charge the remote and the battery pack. I have to take out the plug and also take off my case in order to connect the cable to it. Not the end of the world, but would be nice. I question using them if I find them, id hate to lose connection when the drone is 400ft in the air.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you have to plug the remote into your phone if you want it to transmit video. Otherwise you can only fly the drone in your line of sight.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. You will have to plug your phone while flying so you can see live video and change settings or to download media. Check online if there are magnetic cables for USB-C to lightning. You can swap another cable in that case. The controller end of the cable is USB C which will be plugged in always.
