• You must have an optical cable input on the TV! The input will not be on your cable box. it's from the TV to the sound source.

• One end of the cable goes into TV or cable box, the other end goes into soundbar.

• Is optical audio cable. The input is audio from a source to your amplifier.

• That's a question too specific to the tv. Sometimes the "tv" source has multiple inputs and plays one of them preferentially to the other. Make sure you don't have multiple things going into the same input if that makes sense
