Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello Lucille, this is Kelly with Dyson. You do not need to use the included wall dock, to charge your machine. The charger cable is separate from the dock. You can either charge the machine by plugging that charger directly into the vacuum, or if using the wall dock; the charger cable threads behind the dock, so it's really two separate pieces.
