Q: QuestionMy remote stopped working, and I ordered another one. It did not work either. Is there a way to manually change speeds and enable oscillation? Right now it's stuck on 10.
Asked by Keith.
This question was asked about the related product: Dyson - Pure Cool Purifying Fan TP01, Tower - Iron/Blue
- A:Answer Hi Keith, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your remote control, for your TP01 Pure Cool Tower. To operate the machine without the remote control, the standby button on the front of the unit turns the appliance ON/OFF. To adjust airflow, press and hold that button. Airflow will increase to a maximum, before decreasing. The oscillation and timer functions cannot be operated without the remote control. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support

Q: QuestionMy neighbor smokes and the smoke is making my house smell. Will this air filter take away the smoke odor?
Asked by jake.
- A:Answer Hi Jake, this is Kelly with Dyson. You'll be happy to know that during testing, cigarette smoke was specifically tested to help determine the filter life and whole room purification. From these results, 99.97% of allergens and pollutants as small as 0.3 microns are removed from the air. We hope this helps. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support

Q: QuestionDoes Dyson offer an air purifier that features a HEPA filter which captures 99.97% of particles, as small as 0.1 microns and has an active carbon filter not an imprenated sponge? I would prefer one that processes the air 5 times an hour for a room225sqft

Q: QuestionWhat is the CFM number?
Asked by GinaGirl.
This question was asked about the related product: Dyson - Pure Cool Purifying Fan TP01, Tower - Iron/Blue
- A:Answer CFM is Cubic Feet per Minute. It is a rate of flow for air. The 434 Liters Per Second mentioned by the others is wrong. They meant 434 Liters Per Minute. A fan that produces 434 LPS is equivalent to 26,040 LPM. (60 x 434 = 26,040). In CFM terms, that would be about 920 Cubic Feet per Minute. That would be enough to cool the average U.S. home with a lot left over.

Q: QuestionWhy does this much larger fan/purifier have only 172 sq. ft. air purifier rating while the much smaller Dyson HP01 Pure + Cool (311383-01) have a 400 sq. ft. rating? Are these numbers correct for these models? I figured the bigger one would be better.
Asked by Shadow.
- A:Answer Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson Pure Cool Link and Pure Hot + Cool purifier fan will clean the air in any size room. The bigger the room, the longer the machine will take to purify it as there is more air in the atmosphere. For instance in a room of 139ft², the machine will purify the room in 25 min. Environmental factors that can affect purification time would include the outdoor air quality, along with the number of windows and doors that you have in the home. Q: QuestionCan you wash and reuse the filter? If not are the filters recyclable?
Asked by Anonymous.
This question was asked about the related product: Dyson - Pure Cool Purifying Fan TP01, Tower - Iron / Silver
- A:Answer Hi there, this is Tia from Dyson! With regard to the unit's filter, it's not washable or reusable as that would damage the integrity of the filter and how it works to remove allergens and harmful particles from the air. We recommend replacing your air purifier filter every 12 months. This is because over time, filters can get clogged with pollutants, and even let unpleasant odors back into the room. Your purifying fan will alert you when it's time to change the filter. Please check with your local municipality for recycling options for your Dyson purifier filter. Thanks for your interest in Dyson technology! Best wishes, Tia Dyson Customer Support
