Hello Emma, this is Kelly with Dyson. While you can swap the battery out on the Dyson V11 Origin cord-free, if needed, it's not something we would recommend that you do on a regular basis. Swapping out the battery can eventually strip the screws that hold the battery in place, which would cause issues down the road with your machine.
