A:AnswerHi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. V12 is a smaller, more compact model than the V15. If you have a smaller home or apartment, you may appreciate the smaller size on the V12. This models clear dust bin is smaller in size than the V15, and the V12 is one of the only cord-free models that offers an on/off power button, rather than a trigger you need to hold down to power the machine. V15 is a larger machine, and would have a trigger that you'd need to hold down while in use. Both V12 and V15 offer up to one hour of run time, though V15 will have a bit more suction power, overall.
Best wishes,
Kelly

A:AnswerV12 is a smaller and lighter unit. I highly recommend it over the V10 at least you have too much dirty. It has a very small compartment so you would have to empty it frequently.
A:AnswerHi there, this is Tia from Dyson! Great question! As it stands, our machines are intended for use in the country where they are sold and international adapters aren’t recommended. Machines manufactured for the United States are designed solely for 110-120v electricity. Use of adapters may void the warranty.
We appreciate your interest in Dyson technology!

A:AnswerAt least an hour. If the battery is dead, it could take up to 4 hours to charge. Consider that along with runtime…. Unless you live in a mobile home or a basement, you’ll have to get spare batteries to use once a battery loses charge. Otherwise, you’ll have to plan to vacuum for 30 minutes, charge battery, then repeat.
A:AnswerHi there Dutch, this is Tia from Dyson. The differences between the V11 and V12 can vary, depending on which model you select as the floor tools will not be the same. For example, the model you're viewing, V12 Detect Slim, includes our Laser Slim Fluffy cleaner head which is made specifically for hard floors and our Motorbar floor tool which is suitable for both hard and carpeted floors. The V11 may only include our Torque drive cleaner head which would be designed for use on both hard floors and carpeted areas.
Thanks for your support of Dyson technology!
Best wishes,

A:AnswerHi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. How long a battery will last in your Dyson can vary widely. Things that will affect battery life: suction mode used most often, how well the machine is maintained and kept clear of blockages and how well the filters are washed. You can find replacement batteries right on the Dyson website.

A:AnswerThe head used for carpet is finicky. Unless you have the right pile carpet, the head will not work. I returned this vacuum hours after using it. I’m not sure how the attachments work for that model. I got the animal 3 in place of stick vacuum. The difference in quality of clean carpet is crazy. Hopefully you’re within your return window.
