I have one of the smaller Dyson ball multi floor bagless uprights. I think the suction on the animal stick, using the small/large rotating heads have more suction when using the high setting.

It has about the same suction power of an upright when on turbo mode.

Hi Jade! Thank you for your interest in the V6 Animal. The V6 has 100 air watts of suction. The cordless machines do have lower suction power than a corded machine due to having less power.
