Does it work on thick rugs null

No it will attempt to vacuum a shag rug

We have a shaggy rug and it seems to hang up frequently. We also have flatter rugs that it tends to navigate much better.

I wouldn’t recommend any robot vacuum on shaggy rugs. I have floor mats, rooms have regular carpet, living room has thick-ish rug. It does perfectly fine. I would consider a 950, since it’s newer. But it’s always sold out.
