It's supposed to.. This is from their site directly "Simultaneously vacuum and mop. The extra large 240mL water tank covers over 2000 square feet of mopping. Carpet detection sensors instantly identify floor type, automatically avoiding carpets when mopping and doubling suction power when vacuuming." I haven't tried the mopping feature yet. I just got it hooked up to the auto empty station to make sure that worked. It does detect a cat litter mat that was doubled and I could hear the suction power once it got on that after the hardwood floor. I think you would be pleased with this purchase.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. When you mop you have to set the vacuum on the lowest setting what I'm doing when I want to mop I vacuum first on the high setting and then change the vacuum setting to lowest for moping to prevent from shuck in the moisture from moping.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It will not mop and vaccum the hard wood floors and carpet at the same time. It will avoid carpet while the mopping plate is installed. I typically set boundaries while in mopping mode, otherwise it will continue to attempt to go over the carpet and I have found the cleaning cycle then take longer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You either sweep or mop. You have to put on the mop head and the bot senses that and puts it in mop mode. So I will run the sweep first, then put on the mop head and mop second. I honestly don’t even use the mop because it’s not that great of a feature
