QuestionI had a 2 story house, i was thinking put this on 1st floor for some days of the week and the other time 2nd floor. Can this robot store multiply map for switching, or only one.

- Answer Yes, it can use two maps. I have a 2-story house as well and just take the charging dock upstairs with the vacuum and set it back on the charging dock. I open the app and it relocates itself. The first time you vacuum it will create the map and works from there. I really like the DEEBOT. I have had it for a little over two months now and am extremely pleased with the unit. We have an open floor plan, but I was able to create areas so if I only want to vacuum the kitchen (our most used room in the house) I can do that without having to do the whole downstairs. I did purchase the new moping dock as it works better than the original. Hope this helps.

QuestionCan i add something other than water to mop? Like mr clean or something that smells good? Or does it only mop with water?

- Answer Manufacturer says only use water as residue from cleaners could clog the spray nozzles. I have not put anything in the tank but I have spritzed the cleaning pad with fabuloso cleaner before running it. It did smell good. Hope that helps

QuestionWe have mostly hardwood floors with a couple of area rugs. Would it sweep/mop the floors and vacuum the carpet on it's own in one cleaning cycle or do I have to make an adjustment to the robot and do a mop/sweep cycle and then a separate vacuum cycle?

- Answer It's supposed to.. This is from their site directly "Simultaneously vacuum and mop. The extra large 240mL water tank covers over 2000 square feet of mopping. Carpet detection sensors instantly identify floor type, automatically avoiding carpets when mopping and doubling suction power when vacuuming." I haven't tried the mopping feature yet. I just got it hooked up to the auto empty station to make sure that worked. It does detect a cat litter mat that was doubled and I could hear the suction power once it got on that after the hardwood floor. I think you would be pleased with this purchase.

- Answer It comes with the mopping attachment and one washable mopping cloth. You can purchase the pro mopping attachment separately, which adds a powered scrubbing action to the mopping function.

- Answer Hi, Please note that Deebot T8AIVI comes with a rolling main brush, which helps clean debris and hair. If there is a lot of hair, it may cause the brushes to wind up. It is recommended to clean the brushes regularly to keep Deebot in good condition. QuestionWe have one area that is carpeted but otherwise hardwood throughout. Does this product recognize carpet and not mop that area?

- Answer Hi, Please kindly note that this Deebot has the Carpet Detection Sensor. If the Deebot detects the carpet and this Deebot will avoid the carpet when this Deebot is under mopping mode. Or after you save the map, you could set the no-mop zone on the carpet area, then the Deebot will not work on the carpet when this Deebot is under mopping mode. QuestionIs it 5ghz compatible?

- Answer I believe you need a 2.4 GHz network for it to connect to the internet. As long as your router has both a 2.4 and 5 ghz network broadcast you should be fine. If you don't have a way to broadcast a 2.4ghz signal it probably won't connect and then you wouldn't be able to use the app.

- Answer Yes as long as the threshold isn't too high. If the threshold is 3/4 of an inch tall or less it should be fine.

- Answer No, the motorized scrubber is separate. It does come with a mopping pad and tank but not the oscillating scrubbing action one.

- Answer No. That's too tall. I think that's going to trigger the fall sensor and it wouldn't be able to climb back up without a ramp.

- Answer While doing the initial mapping? Yes but if you have a large area to clean you should turn on charge then resume and set it to low suction so it can get a good map of the area first. It needs to map the entire area first before it saves the map. There are lots of tips out there to make first time mapping easier. Once it has the map, it will update if furniture is moved, boxes on the floor. doors opened, stuff like that.

- Answer Yes, in the center of the robot under the lid is the collection bin. They also sell an auto empty station that empties out the collection bin automatically.

- Answer For mapping/cleaning it works in pitch black darkness due to the lidar. For camera/object avoidance it needs some light.

- Answer Not really. You can turn the camera on and control it manually to look at thing but thats not a particularly efficient use of the robot ad it's not really cleaning at that point. When it is actually cleaning you can't watch what it sees. You can outline specific areas/rooms in the app to pick specific areas if you need to.
