Is it 5ghz compatible? null

I believe you need a 2.4 GHz network for it to connect to the internet. As long as your router has both a 2.4 and 5 ghz network broadcast you should be fine. If you don't have a way to broadcast a 2.4ghz signal it probably won't connect and then you wouldn't be able to use the app.
